Joseph was baptised on 8th October 1871 in Pitney, Somerset. He was the 8th child born to Jacob & Emma Rue.
He can be seen living with his Mother & Father in the 1881 Census in Pitney, aged 10, a scholar.
Joseph died on 19th August 1884. His age is given as 14 years old. He died in Pitney and his death certificiate, signed by Jacob, suggests cause of death as “Endocarditis 3 mths and Dropsy (!?) 2 mths”.
