Annie Jane Rue was baptised on 4th April 1920 in Llantrissant. Her parents were Thomas Rue a farmer and Beatrice Elizabeth Rue nee Jones. She had a sister, Gwyneth who was born in 1914.
The family lived in Llanfarach Farm in Llantrissant and it appears that Annie lived there all her life.

Thomas Rue died in 1935 when Annie was just 15. By that time Gwyneth, her sister, had married, although she seems to have remained close to the family and the farm.
Annie (more commonly called Nancy) married Elvet Harris in 1943. They had a daughter in 1944 and a son in 1948.
Beatrice, Annie’s mother, died in 1945 by which time it appears that Annie had taken over the farm at Llanfarach.
Annie Jane (Nancy) Harris died on 21st February 2008. Elvet had died sometime earlier.
