Alfred Walter Rue was born on 8th September 1912 in the Neath area of South Wales. His parents were George Rue and Elizabeth nee Palin who had married earlier in 1912. He was their first born.
He had a younger brother, Oliver, born on 17th January 1916.
Alfred married Ann Williams towards the end of 1940 still in Neath.
Alfred and Ann had two daughters, in 1941 and in 1950.
Alfred died, still in the Neath area towards the end of 1980.
