Violet Ellen Rue was born in 1898, the first born of William Rue and Sarah nee Davies, in the Cardiff area.

Wiliam had 2 sons from a previous marriage (to Elizabeth Goodwin) although it appears he had completely removed himself from them, giving
himself as a bachelor on his marriage to Sarah Davies.

Violet had a brother Albert (or possibly Alfred) born in 1900 who does not appear to have lived for long, another brother, George born in 1902 and a
sister, Edith born in 1905.

In the 1901 census of 91 Chard Road, Cardiff, we see William aged 40, his wife Sarah aged 39 and the 2 year old Violet.  William was a coal hewer.

In the 1911 cenus we see the family living at 117 Main Street, Cardiff.  There is William aged 48, a small haulier, his wife Sarah aged 46 and their 3 children
Violet aged 12, George aged 8 and Edith aged 6.

Violet married David J Parry in Cardiff in 1921.  They went on to have 2 daughters, Violet G in 1923 and Gladys J in 1926.  As these were then Parry I have gone no further for now.
