Dorothy Rue was born in Warrington in the summer of 1911. Her parents were William James Rue and Elizabeth nee Perdue.
Her parents had lost their first born, Florence Iris, within weeks of her birth in 1904, however Dorothy did have a surviving older sister,
Mabel, who was born in 1905.
The 1 month old Dorothy can be seen in the 1911 census along with her parents, William James and Elizabeth and the 5 year old Mabel.
Their address is given as 7 Lucy Fold, Warrington.
Dorothy married Thomas W Rose early in 1934 in Warrington. A brief search has suggested that they may have had 2 sons, Thomas W born in 1935
and Colin M born in 1939 in Bucklow in Eastern Cheshire.
