Mabel Rue was born in Warrington in 1905. She was the first surviving child of William James Rue and Elizabeth nee Perdue, them having had
a daughter, Florence Iris, who died very young in 1904.
Mabel also had a surviving sister, Dorothy who was born in the summer of 1911.
Mabel is 5 in the 1911 census living with her parents, William James and Elizabeth and the 1 month old Dorothy at 7 Lucy Fold, Warrington.
Mabel married Thomas Bate in Warrington in 1926. It appears that they had a son, David J Bate in 1937 in Warrington.
