Marjorie was often known as Peggy. She was born early in 1920 to Arthur Rue and Maggie (nee Collins) in Neath. She had one older brother and one younger brother, her parents had also had three other babies who did not survive early life.
Peggy’s father was a miner and he died in 1938 when she was just 18, of a mining related illness.
Peggy married Frank W Collingwood in Neath in 1942.
I understand that Peggy was “in service” at some time which meant as a domestic servant, and also that she worked in a large hotel in Bournemouth for some time.
It is my understanding that Frank and Peggy had no children.
Peggy died in 1950 aged just 30…I don’t know the cause.
