Sylvia May Rue was the second born of George Rue and Winifred Mary nee Hopkins. She was born in East Glamorgan, somewhere in the Cardiff/Barry area on 15th August 1923. She had 1 older sister, Winifred P born in 1922 and 2 younger sisters, Rose (1925) and Rita (1928).
Her mother, Winifred died in 1932. Her father then remarried aged 41 to Dorothy Harrod and went on to have another 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.
Sylvia married Frederick A Ridley in 1943 still in the East Glamorgan area.
It appears that she died in October 2004 in the Pembrokeshire district of South Wales
