Terry was born on 9th August 1925 in Neath, South Wales to Arthur Rue and Maggie nee Collins. He had an older borther and an older sister, his parents having also had 3 further children who did not survive early life.
Terry was a train driver working for British Rail.
Terry married Lillian Boughton in Gloucester in 1947 and they had 2 children – a son and a daughter. They lived in the Longlevens area.
Lil died in 1998.
Terry remarried to a lady called Val and they lived in Tuffley, Gloucester.
Terry died on 9th March 2009 still in Gloucester.
